With just 2,070 medical-grade ABS spikes—67% fewer than our original mat—your body weight is concentrated on significantly fewer contact points. The result: maximum pressure and an acupressure experience that feels just like your very first Shakti session.

It’s not just the number of spikes that makes the difference. Their arrangement has also been perfected through numerous prototypes to combine maximum intensity with Shakti’s signature precision.

GOTS-certified organic cotton and a memory foam filling made from natural eco-latex ensure that even our firmest mat remains uncompromisingly high-quality. Ideal after intense workouts, long days, or for stubborn muscle tension.

Application

Lie down on the mat, breathe calmly, and give your body time to get used to the intense stimulation. Even if you already have experience with acupressure, we recommend wearing a T-shirt or using a soft pad for your first few sessions. Once your body has gotten used to the intensity, you’ll experience the full effect with your bare skin directly on the floor. Plan on about 20 minutes per session.

You can also use the mat while standing to stimulate the soles of your feet, or roll it up and place it under your neck, calves, and thighs to target specific areas.

Note: The Super Intense Mat was developed exclusively for experienced Shakti users. For beginners, we recommend our Original Mat.

Contraindications: Consult a doctor before use if you have coagulation disorders, epilepsy, skin conditions, acute illnesses, cardiovascular problems, or thrombophlebitis.

Warning: Contains sharp spikes—use with caution and only as directed. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Spikes may come loose and pose a choking hazard.

Cleaning and storage

Before washing, remove the foam from the cover. Hand-wash the cover in lukewarm water with a little detergent and let it air dry. Avoid direct sunlight. Not suitable for the washing machine or dryer.

Delivery: Your mat will be delivered to you in Germany within 1-3 days. Delivery times for other countries can be found in the shipping information. Due to many orders, it may take a few days longer.

Is Super Intense the right choice for me if the effects of Original Matte are no longer enough for me?

Yes and no. If you’ve gotten used to the Original Mat and hardly feel any intense stimulation anymore, the next step would be our Super Intense Mat. By reducing the number of spikes, your weight is distributed across significantly fewer contact points. This creates a noticeably deeper, more localized pressure and brings back that intense “first-time user sensation,” even if you’ve been using the Original Mat for years.

Can I use the Super Intense even if I don't have any experience with the Shakti Mat yet?

We strongly advise beginners against using the Super Intense. The strong pressure concentration has been specifically designed for people whose nervous systems are already accustomed to acupressure. If you’re new to acupressure, it’s best to start with our Original or Light mat, work your way up to the Intense mat, and only then move on to the Super Intense mat. This will prevent the sensation from feeling overwhelming at first and allow your body to gradually get used to it.

Does the Super Intense hurt more because it has fewer prongs, or does it just feel different?

It’s a combination of both. Since your weight is distributed across 67% fewer spikes, the stimulation penetrates more intensely and deeply into the tissue. During the first 1–3 minutes, you’ll therefore feel a significantly sharper, more localized pressure than with the Original mat or the Intense mat. However, as soon as blood flow increases, this sensation of pain gives way to a particularly deep muscle relaxation and warmth, which can feel even more intense.
