It’s not about mats. It’s about the future.
Every Shakti Mat is handmade by talented crafts-women in India. Behind each one stands a mother, her daughter - and you. Together, we’re not just creating mats, but hope for change.
In 2019, we launched our Shakti Rising Programme. With your support, we’ve already given 26 girls in Varanasi an empowering education in a renowned private school.
In 2025, the programme continues to grow to our new production facility in Ranchi. Your donation helps give the daughters of our crafts-women a world-class education. Not as a privilege, but as a right.
We start with one girl and once her education is secured until adulthood, we will introduce the next.
Together, we create futures filled with possibilities. Because when women rise, their daughters rise with them.

Who we support - and why
Meet Aradhya
Aradhya is seven years old and her biggest dream is to become a doctor. Her mother crafts your mat in our Ranchi workshop. Her greatest wish: to offer Aradhya a life full of opportunities.
How you can support Aradhya: At checkout, you can donate a percentage of your purchase or set your own amount. Shakti will add an extra 5% on top. Your contribution goes directly to Aradhya’s education.

How it works
Your support, real impact
- Since 2019, we have been supporting the education of our artisans' daughters.
- Dozens of girls in Varanasi are already attending school - thanks to you.
- In 2025, we’re expanding to Ranchi, supporting even more girls.
- We work closely with the families, selecting motivated daughters of single mothers.
- About €4,000 covers tuition, books, uniforms, and transport for one girl.
- Our goal: to support each student until she reaches 18.
- Every donation goes directly into schooling - transparent and personal.

Why private school?
Because quality isn’t a luxury
Public schools in India often lack the bare basics: teachers, classrooms, or even clean toilets. This makes safe access to education particularly difficult for girls.
That’s why our girls attend private schools - safe spaces where they are valued and encouraged to dream big. Here, they don’t just learn for exams, but for life.
With your donation, you make this possible: you give them the chance to shape their own futures.
The big picture
Girls who make a difference
Shakti Rising isn’t a campaign - it’s a heartfelt mission. Every girl we support carries hope into her generation.
This isn’t about charity, but about solidarity. A mother knows her child can learn and grow, and you know you are investing in more than just your own mat.

Our impact
What we’ve achieved together

Thanks to you, a girl can learn
With your support, girls like Aradhya gain access to education - rewriting their futures. Your donation becomes a backpack, a notebook, an opportunity. And a mat filled with purpose and care.
On the checkout page, you choose your role in this story: donate a set percentage of your order or pick your own amount. Shakti will add an extra 5%. Every cent goes directly into Aradhya’s education.
Let's grow together.
