Application

Find a quiet place, place your Shakti meditation cushion on the Shakti yoga mat or a soft surface and make yourself comfortable.

If you are using the acupressure panel, place it on top of the Pillow, spikes facing upwards. Start with thicker clothing to feel your way slowly. For a more intense sensation, wear thinner clothing. Sit cross-legged or kneel on the Pillow, back straight, hips above the knees.

Close your eyes and breathe deeply. Let the spikes anchor your mind in the here and now for the first 5 minutes. Don't worry: the meditation cushion is especially suitable for beginners who would like support with their practice.

Stay seated for 15-20 minutes to activate your body's resting response. After your session, you can store the panel in the zippered compartment. Namasté!

Contraindications: Consult a doctor before use if you have coagulation disorders, epilepsy, skin diseases, acute illnesses, cardiovascular problems or thrombophlebitis.

Warning: Contains sharp points - use only as directed and with caution. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Cleaning and storage

Cleaning and storage: The meditation cushion and acupressure pad should only be spot cleaned by hand with a mild detergent and left to air dry flat. Do not dry clean. Not suitable for washing machine or tumble dryer.

Store the Pillow in a cool, dry place and avoid direct sunlight. Always allow to dry thoroughly before storing.

Delivery: Your mat will be delivered to you in Germany within 1-3 days. Delivery times for other countries can be found in the shipping information. Due to many orders, it may take a few days longer.

How long should I sit on the acupressure points?

As long as you feel comfortable. As with meditation or using a Shakti mat, there is no optimal time and you can't overdo it. Just listen to your body.

Why does the "spike" have to be different from the original Shakti Mat acupressure spike?

Because letting go in different parts of the body can require different methods. The new Shakti tip has been specially developed for sitting on the mat. Think of the different tips as different massage techniques are used to break up the tissue - so you can think of the new Shakti Tip as an elbow rather than fingers.

What are the advantages of the removable acupressure panel?

No other meditation cushion on the market has this feature, which helps you focus on your practice while exercising the fascia in your muscles. And hey, that's one of the biggest muscles in the body that often doesn't get much attention.
