Cleaning and storage

Spray and wipe with natural cleaning agents or only spot clean. Wipe off any residue with a damp cloth. Do not tumble dry, do not dry clean, leave to dry flat.

Store the mat in a cool, dry place and avoid direct sunlight. Always allow to dry thoroughly before storing.

Why is the mat so heavy?

Because that's what makes them so comfortable! Natural rubber is heavier because it contains less filler (other materials) and less ventilation (trapped air pockets) than other types of foam. And our mat is thicker than most because more material is used.

Why does the mat have a fabric upper material?

We designed this mat for comfort, and to us that means a soothing, luxurious feel against your skin. The recycled polyester outer fabric is soft and supple, but washable and provides the grip your hands need.

Can I practise all types of yoga on this mat?

Of course you can! We recommend this mat primarily for gentle yoga practices and floor-based workouts. Our mat is wider than most natural rubber mats, which means that most people's bodies will always stay on the wonder mat. The 6mm thickness is really good for your knees and the cushioning feel it provides makes for a dreamy savasana. The fabric upper provides enough grip to make you feel safe and supported in inversions (best on carpeted floors to increase grip). While the grip of this mat feels different than most plastic-coated yoga mats, it provides moderate support for your hands and feet (a plastic mat may be required for more challenging poses). This gives you the grip you need without the unpleasant chemicals or cold rubbery feel of other mats.
